We have been experiencing some issues with the reliability of Easylink - the system used to access your school files from home. Due to these problems we have regretfully decide to remove access to Easylink at this time until these issues can be resolved, most likely through the introduction of a new system.

Why are we doing this?
Easylink was designed to work with Internet Explorer 6 and Windows XP. With the introduction of Windows Vista, and now Windows 7, and newer browsers such as Firefox, IE8, Safari etc. a range of problems have developed which prevent many of you from accessing your school files through the Easylink system.

We have spoken with our ICT partner who provide the system but unfortunately they are not developing Easylink any further and are instead introducing a new system that will work with newer browsers and most common operating systems (Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS, Linux). We do not currently have a date for when this will be available but it is likely to be next year at the earliest.

How to transfer files between school and home
Until we introduce a new system to replace Easylink we are recommending that students either use a USB memory stick to copy files between school and home or use the 'My Files' page within the E-learning Portal to save files which will then be available anywhere you have an internet connection. Using a memory stick has the added advantage of another backup copy of important coursework files - just make sure you don't have your ONLY copy of files on your memory stick!
